Who We Are

Tom Perry - President / A&R

original?tenant=vbu-digital

Tom Perry started his career as a Recording Engineer/Record Producer in the late 60s. His first success started with Helen Reddy in the early 70s. "Angie Baby" and "Somewhere In The Night" were the first of many chart records to follow. That Platinum album was quickly followed with the legendary Silk Degrees album from Boz Scaggs. Silk Degrees received a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. "Lowdown" was the first of many number 1 singles for Tom. Earth Wind & Fire followed and the flood gate was opened. The next 20 years of work that followed would produce more than 30 gold and platinum albums totaling more than 90 million record sales. Artists would include Jackson Browne, Gladys Knight, The Jacksons, Dianna Ross, Rick Springfield, Paul McCartney, The Emotions, Denise Williams, Glen Campbell, George Strait, Smokey Robinson, Phil Collins and too many more to list. Tom won three 3M Scotty Awards and seven Ampex Golden Reel Awards for outstanding engineering. Tom's success came mostly in Los Angeles but also include 3 years while living and working in Nashville.

Tom eventually got involved with mixing music and dialog for Movies and T.V. This would result in receiving the British Academy Award nomination for The Commitments and 7 MPSE award wins for best music mix of the year. Tom mixed the music for The Cider House Rules, which won the Academy Award for Best Score. He also received two Emmy Nominations for Best Sound for the series The Soprano's and the made for TV movie Dirty Pictures. Throw into the mix two CAS nominations for Best Sound of the Year and you have a track record that is hard to match in the field. Tom is one of the most decorated and well known names in the sound/production business.

Tom is currently president of Grey Creek Productions, dedicated to finding new artists to develop and record. Grey Creek is also involved with helping aspiring artists to produce and record their material to the highest quality.
